The Experience

Kite Safari
Red Sea Egypt

Join our exclusive annual Kite Safari aboard the Galaxy 720 — a fully equipped luxury sailing yacht on the Egyptian Red Sea. Sail between the world's best kitesurfing spots guided by wind and tide, kiting from the moment the sun rises until it sets each day.

The Egyptian Red Sea offers some of the most consistent and powerful wind conditions on the planet. Perfectly flat water lagoons protected by coral reefs, open ocean downwind runs, and remote spots only reachable by boat. This is bucket-list kitesurfing.

Our trips are led personally by experienced Kite Club instructors. All skill levels welcome — intermediate riders wanting to push limits, advanced kiters looking for new spots, and groups of friends wanting an unforgettable adventure together.

About Kite Safari Egypt Red Sea

Kite Safari Egypt Red Sea: 7 Days of Pure Wind

The Egypt Red Sea is one of the world's premier kite destinations — reliable north wind, often 20–30 knots, flat water lagoons sheltered behind barrier reefs, and warm water that stays above 22°C all year. A live-aboard kite safari is the ultimate way to experience it: wake up at a new spot every morning, ride five different locations in seven days, and return home with more riding hours than most people accumulate in a season.

Why the Egypt Red Sea?

Egypt offers a unique combination: thermal wind driven by desert heat pressure against Mediterranean air means the wind turns on like a switch — typically 11am to sunset, 25+ knots, six days out of seven during peak season. The water is flat inside every lagoon because reefs block the ocean swell. This combination — powerful consistent wind plus flat water — is why kitesurfers travel from Europe, Russia and Australia to ride here. No other accessible destination matches it for reliability or quality.

The Galaxy 720 Catamaran

The Galaxy 720 is a 22-metre luxury catamaran purpose-built for kite safaris. She carries ten riders plus a crew of four: captain, chef, kite guide and deckhand. Each rider has a private or shared cabin with ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and charging points. The main deck has a shaded lounge and dining area. A hydraulic rear platform launches directly into the water for easy gear rigging and entry. The chef prepares three meals per day plus snacks — Egyptian, Mediterranean and international cuisine sourced fresh at each port.

7-Day Itinerary Overview

The safari runs Saturday to Saturday. Check in on the yacht on Saturday between 12:00 and 15:00, then dinner, meeting the group and the first briefing. The yacht sets sail early on Sunday morning and returns on Friday evening; the last night is spent on board, and on Saturday morning there is breakfast and check-out.

Total beginners are not suited to live-aboard format — the focus is on maximising riding time at world-class spots, not on instruction. If you are still learning, complete your course at Koh Samui first, then join us in Egypt.
